Portia Simms is currently a junior at Oakland University, majoring in Biology and aspires to become a Podiatrist. Simms has been dancing since the age of six and has a variety of experience ranging from tap, ballet, jazz, lyrical, step and hip hop. In California, she  attended classes at the Long Beach Parks and Recreation Center, the Long Beach Ballet Arts Center, and was a member of the Wilson High School dance team. In Michigan, she was a member and captain of the Lake Orion High School step and hip hop dance team and is currently a member of one of Oakland University's outstanding dance teams, Intrigue. She enjoys expressing her unique and enthusiastic style through choreography and looks forward to her a enjoyable tenure with Dance for Fun.
