As
a tradition in the belly-dancing culture, a belly dance teacher will
often give their students' an Eastern name reflecting their dance
style, or personality.
Pelamaji
started working in co-operation with Dance For
Fun in January 2006. She now had founded the Dance
For Fun Bellydance Company. She draws from her past experiences
as a member of previous bellydance companies in the area.
Pelamaji draws from her many years (16 plus) of teaching experiences
in the healing arts of physical and spiritual health. She
enjoys her private practice, and assists others to awaken through
self-transformation and inner balancing awareness techniques.
Her background includes tantra kriya yoga, tai chi, chi-gung,
seichiem reiki, feng-shui, oriental dance, kung fu, massage therapy,
healing and prophecy, cold pressed & essential oils, oriental
& eastern philosophy, and muscle testing concepts. She teaches
bodywork, meditational yoga, and belly-dance classes world-wide
and privately to assist in the vision of lives that are free to BE
happy and BE healthy. She has studied with top national and
international belly dance instructors since 1998 and still regularly
attends seminars today. In her classes, Pela Maji feels she creates
a nice down to earth view with fun twists added into her instruction
style of Belly Dance. She is also an expert on stage make-up as she
has portrayed through her EYE'S OF CAIRO STAGE MAKE-UP CLASS.
Whether it be adding to her repertoire of props (Canes, Swords,
Veils, Zills, Tambourine, Candles, Fans, Isis Wings, Ribbons &
Long Scarves) or to the variety of cultural dance styling (Turkish,
Egyptian, Moroccan, Character, Fusion) or basics movements &
rhythms of the dance form; her outlook on the art
of belly-dance is that it is vast art and there is always
something more to learn. Cynthia Schankin is founding
instructor of the Schankin System Massage, The Body Splendor, and
Eye’s of Cairo Stage Makeup classes. Cynthia is fufilling her dreams
while assisting others to truly make the commitment to transform
their limits, through limitless action and balancing of the mind
with the heart. |
