Have you ever marveled at the girls in the beautiful
costumes leading a parade, or twirling in front of a marching
band? Baton Twirling is
more than sequins and boots. It is an exciting, competitive
sport. In this introduction class, students will learn the
fundamentals of baton twirling. They will become familiar
with baton terminology and will learn ‘basic twirls’. Basic strutting will also be
taught.
Apparel: Please
wear tennis shoes and either shorts or tights – not bulky clothing.
NO JEANS!
Batons:
Batons
can be ordered prior to class.
Please measure the arm length from the arm pit to the tip of
the longest finger – then add ˝ inch Batons are available for
purchase at Dance For Fun for $25.
Performance:
Performers will perform in the Dance For Fun Show-When I Grow
Up. Recital Info closer to the recital date in
May.
Costumes:
Costumes will be purchased along the same philosophy of Dance
For Fun. Quality but with a small sticker price. Costumes will be
$50 CXS-CL/$55 CXL-AL/$60 AXL. Costumes are due on or before the
first class. After the first class $5 will be added to the above
prices.
